Nav N Go - igo8 - User Pois , Favorites , etc....

My Set Up:
Nav N Go iGo 8 , 8.3.2.91972 May 28 2009 , Map: Ελλάδα 2010.Q2 2010 NAVTEQ [100812] on PDA with Win CE 5.0.

Update Oct 2012:
New maps + pois installed - NavTeq R3 Europe 2012.Q1, release June 2012.

Update Sep 2012:
New maps installed - 2011.Q4, April 2012. source : http://www.torrentreactor.net/torrents/5599129/R3-Europe-Navteq-2011-Q4

Tip : If i'm not wrong, TomTom uses the same fbl maps as Igo8.

Correct Keywords for Google / Torrents
For NavNGo : Navteq (company makes the maps). Last Release 2012.Q1 (June 2012) (www.navteq.com)
For Garmin : Auto Drive Hellas. Last Release T40-el (July 2012)

Igo8 installed in removable card. The map came with it's own POI file, extension .poi , location: content\poi\
User POIs extension is .upoi and location is (in my case) in the "save" directory.
Maps POI is not readable by notepad, but user poi (upoi) it is.

POIS
Items added on "favorites" are found on the "save" folder, with name favorites.dat (not readable).

Managing POIS for igo 8 with Greek Language support (ps : poieditor.com failed to recognize pois with greek characters in description).
Solution : The Awesome Freeware Greek "User POI Editor v 2.1" , provided by http://www.eyegps.gr/
You can open existed upoi file anf modify it as you like. Or you can create a new user.upoi file, importing POIS by Google kml, igo-8 kml, navigator dat file, or even the favorites.dat of your igo8.
By selecting a poi from the list, using right click, you can see the poi on the google maps / earth.

Greek POIS can be found here: http://index.pois.gr/  but upoi files are not supported. The best way is to download .dat file for navigator and "import it" using Poi Editor.
